Privacy and terms
Last updated 27 October 2026.
The short version
OpenMYO has no accounts, no database and no analytics. Your drafts and audio stay in your browser until you press Sync. Then they go straight from your browser to Yoto.
What stays on your device
Drafts, audio files, icons, covers and your Yoto sign-in tokens are kept in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB and localStorage). We cannot see them. Clearing the site’s data in your browser deletes them.
Who your browser talks to
- Yoto (login.yotoplay.com, api.yotoplay.com): when you sign in and sync. You sign in on Yoto’s own page; OpenMYO never sees your password. Yoto’s privacy policy covers what you send there.
- Apple iTunes Search (itunes.apple.com): the words you type when you search for podcasts, artwork or tracklists.
- MusicBrainz (musicbrainz.org): album and artist names when you look up a tracklist.
- Podcast hosts: when you add a podcast, your browser downloads its feed and episodes from the show’s own host.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and the pages you request.
Each of these sees your IP address, as with any website. We do not send them anything else about you.
What this website does not do
No cookies for tracking, no advertising, no analytics, no selling of data. This copy of OpenMYO runs without a server, so features that need one (AI tidy-up, community icons, downloading audio through a link) are switched off here.
Children
OpenMYO is a tool for grown-ups who make cards for children. It asks for no names, ages or profiles. Card and track titles you type stay on your device and go to Yoto when you sync.
Terms
OpenMYO is free and provided as is, without warranty. Only upload audio you have the right to use. You are responsible for what you put on your Yoto cards.
OpenMYO is independent and is not made, endorsed or supported by Yoto. Yoto is a trademark of its owner.
